We have a range of flexible volunteer activities available

Sign up to be a Volunteer Responder

Signing up for multiple activities will increase the number of tasks offered to you. 

Signing up for Community Response is recommended as it requires the highest level of check - the Green level. This will mean once you have registered and completed the checks, you won't need to do any further checks for all current and future volunteer activities.

For all volunteer activities, you must complete an ID check. In addition, you may need to complete a DBS Check and Driver Declaration.

Community Response

This involves collecting shopping, essential supplies including lateral flow tests and delivering to people. An enhanced DBS check with Adult Barred List check is required.

Check In and Chat

This is telephone support to people who would benefit from a friendly telephone call. A DBS is not required.

Check In and Chat Plus

This is regular telephone support to the same person for a duration of 6 weeks, with 3 calls taking place each week. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Pick Up and Deliver

This involves transporting equipment, supplies and/or medication between NHS services, sites and people at home. A DBS is not required.

This involves guiding people on site to make sure the vaccination process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
